Our Story

IEEE Lahore Section has evolved from its 1968 origins as the Pakistan Section into a leading technical hub in Region 10, managing over 45 student branches and numerous specialized subunits. Following its 1998 renaming and the subsequent 50th-anniversary milestone in 2018, the section has significantly expanded its technical footprint, establishing key Joint Chapters like the APS-CAS-MTT-SSCS to address converging modern technologies.

In the 2024–2025 period, the section has prioritized digital transformation and grassroots empowerment, notably through the Revamping of Student Branches initiative and specialized VTools workshops to modernize volunteer operations. Under the 2025 leadership of Dr. Yasir Saleem, the section continues to host flagship events like ICECE 2025 and the WIE International Leadership Summit, solidifying its role as a pivotal force for academic and industrial collaboration in Pakistan.
