Biography
Dr. Aakash Hassan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Information Technology University, Lahore. He earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from UET Taxila (2013), his MS in Energy Systems Engineering from NUST (2017), and his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Edith Cowan University, Western Australia (2023). He previously lectured at Sharif College of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.
His research tackles the pressing challenges faced by solar PV systems — improving efficiency and optimising cost — across renewable energy systems, smart grids, power quality, maximum power point tracking, optimisation techniques and computational fluid dynamics.
