Biography

Dr. Haris Mehmood is an Assistant Professor at Information Technology University (ITU), Lahore. He earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from NUST and received the TÜBİTAK Research Fellowship during doctoral studies at Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkey. His research focuses on semiconductors and photovoltaic devices, incorporating dopant-free thin films of transition metal oxides to improve charge-transport characteristics.

He has expertise in device modelling and experimental characterisation — stoichiometry analysis, optical transmittance and solar-cell testing. At ITU he has driven curriculum development under Outcome-Based Education, received the Best University Teacher Award, and holds AFHEA certification from Advance Higher Education UK. He has secured multiple government grants and maintains active international research collaborations.
