Biography
Dr. Tauseef Tauqeer is a Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Information Technology University (ITU), Lahore, with additional charge as Dean of the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences. He earned his B.E. in Electronics Engineering from GIKI (2005), and his M.Sc. in Communication Engineering (2006) and PhD in Microelectronics and Nanostructures (2009) from the University of Manchester, UK — completing his doctorate at age 25.
His doctoral research focused on the design and fabrication of InP-based low-power gigahertz-class analog-to-digital converters for the Square Kilometre Array radio telescope initiative, earning the Best PhD Student award in his research group (2008). He previously headed Electronics, Power and Control at NUST-SEECS, received the Best Teacher Award (2013–14), and serves on Pakistan's National Curriculum Review Committee for Electronics Engineering under the HEC.
